Butterflies and Granddaughters

Our park district, in Rockford, IL, presents some terrific programs. Currently they have a butterflies exhibit in which visitors can go into a screened area where they can see the insects, let them land on heads, hands, or shoulders, and feed them with a flavor stick. 

My wife and I took our Rockford grandchildren, Olivia and Abby, for this unique experience. They were also able to see several cocoons from which future butterflies will emerge. 

As you can see, we had a great time.
