Thank you so much for commenting on my blog! I have blog rolled you!

Its so encouraging to learn that you were a reluctant reader, like my son is... Yet you came around to love literature like I hope he does one day!!

I am definitely going to go now and check out your books. I have tried everything I can to get him to read.

Max, I can't believe I didn't know March is National Reading Month. Congrats on hitting #3 and 4 on Google today! You must be beaming.

Can't say our 22-year-old son has become a connoisseur of classic literature yet, but I suppose ingesting Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the Onion, and graphic novels can be considered reading. All those nights with Ella Lindvall's Bible stories and repeat performances of Goodnight Moon did pay off. (Or will when he "finds himself.")

And our 20-year-old daughter is studying to be an elementary teacher! Hope they caught my enthusiasm for reading!

You and I come from the same generation because I watch the same tv shows and listened to the same radio shows. I was a reluctant reader until 8 1/2. Then I discovered the "Childhood of Famous American" series. It had two big things going for it. The Books had Large Type which enabled me to read better and they were wonderful stories. I am delighted you are writing for that age group. I have written one storie for kids who are haveing a hard time learning to read. (I believe that is called being an emergent reader.) No publisher though yet. (One said it was too violent. Golly gee whiz. It is less than 100 words and is called "Cat and Rat"
