Book News from Rockford for Readers 8 - 13

These have been some of the busiest days I’ve ever experienced since beginning to write adventure and mystery books for boys about 10 years ago. In the space of 30 days, three new books will be published.

(1) NEWS FLASH! I wanted to make sure you get in on a very special deal. The publisher of my book, Barney and The Runaway is offering the e-book version of this exciting book for just $2.99 on Kindle. But it'sfor only this week. Grab your copy today while it's at this low, introductory price http://www.amazon.com/Barney-Runaway-Max-Elliot-Anderson/dp/0984559841/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1298500271&sr=1-10

(2) You probably know that on September 11, 2011, America will observe the 10th anniversary of 9/11. Many children who are 8 – 13 know little or nothing about what happened in 2001, or why it’s important to them today.

It’s very important to Vincent Forras, a fireman who was trapped for two hours in the rubble, after the towers fell in New York City. Find out more about his story at http://booksandboys.blogspot.com/2011/07/please-meet-vincent-forras-first.html
One reviewer ended her review with this statement, "The author delivers a well written story that will shock the daylights out of you once you read the ending."

(3) My book, When the Lights Go Out, includes some of the basic facts, but the story is much broader than that. There's a web page with much more information about this new book. It's my hope that schools across the country will purchase this book in bulk for their students, so we never forget what happened on 9/11.  Ask me about that at mander8813@aol.com

* Midwest Book Review says, "When the Lights Go Out" is a fine read and very much recommended for modern thriller readers." http://www.amazon.com/When-Lights-Out-Elliot-Anderson/dp/1936695472/ref=sr_1_13?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1312034248&sr=1-13

Lost Island Smugglers which is book # 1 in the series.

(6) And on June 15, Newspaper Caper was released.
WHEW! I don't know about you, but I'm almost out of breath. But there are many more titles on the way. These are books sure to keep young readers turning the pages, especially boys. Next up, River Rampage which is book # 3 in the Sam Cooper adventure series, and Legend of the White Wolf.
