Max: Nice interview! I'm also a writer whose goal is to inspire boys to read. People are often shocked when they find out I hated reading as a kid. I grew up with lots of TV but also lots of time outside making sticks into machine guns and pinecones into hand grenades. I think it's important to tap into a boy's sense of action and adventure. We have an advantage because we know our audience well -- it's us!
