"He'll Never Walk Again" - Page 124 - is included in the book, and concerns events surrounding my
third birthday when I contracted the dreaded disease of Polio. Of course, this was a traumatic chapter in my young life. Evangelist Billy Graham played a key role in my story and that of a brother and sister who had Polio at the same time. Today, none of us has any lasting effects. You can read our story in this new book.

About This New Book , Published by Regal
"I Believe in Healing: Real
Stories from the Bible and Today"
When a loved one is injured or ill,
what do Christians do? They pray, expecting God to intervene with a miracle of
healing. They pray not only because the Bible says to do so, but also because
God has shown Himself faithful to heal throughout history and even today. I
Believe in Healing is a one-of-a-kind collection of true stories that
demonstrate God’s healing power. Readers will find dozens of biblical, historical
and present-day accounts of physical and emotional healings, written in Cecil
Murphey’s heart-warming, uplifting style that made 90 Minutes in Heaven a New
York Times bestseller. Anyone who needs a touch from God for themselves or a
loved one will find encouragement and inspiration in these pages.

Wow! Max, this photo reminded me of my dad. He had a kids' program here in MI in the 50s where he did a Capt. Kangaroo type show. He was dressed in coveralls, a big beard and floppy hat. I still meet folks today who knew Uncle Glen, but the photo reminded me of his many trips to the hospital to visit the kids in iron lungs. I still have some of those photos. He'd come in and still be crying. The photos never really touched me until I was a mom, myself, and realized the impact of those photos. Thank you so much for sharing and sharing God's hand on your life. Blessings, my friend.
Interesting, Linda. Did your dad, by any chance, live in or near Muskegon? We lived in Wolf Lake and the three of us were in the hospital in Muskegon. The Muskegon area was particularly hard hit.
Max, what a wonderful testimony. God is so good!
Oh Max, what a wonderful story of God's healing! I agree with Linda--those pictures are gut-wrenching.
Blessings,
Deb
Thank you Normandie.
Appreciate the comment Deb.
Max, I'm delighted you were part of our book, I Believe in Healing. Your story impressed and touched me. And now that I see the pictures, I'm even more impressed by your healing story.
Thank you.

Cec, it's an honor to be included in such an important book. I look forward to reading the other stories soon. Your opening story about Shirley and the accident, which I read on Amazon, is also quite compelling.
My husband has an uncle who is in a wheelchair because he had polio as a young child. Unless you or your family are touched by polio, it's something you don't think about, one of those horrible things you hear about (like bedbugs in this country used to be), but file away in your brain as knowledge you don't need.
That's so true, Carolyn. Thank you for your comment.
