In 1967 - 69, when I was drafted and served in the US Army, the Vietnam war raged and it was very unpopular in America. Keep in mind that the Hippy movement was in full swing in the country pushing free love, drugs, and anti-war disguised as a peace movement. Some of those people are now in charge of government, higher education, the courts, and businesses which explains a lot. Anyway, when soldiers came home, as I did from Germany at that time, we were looked down on, hated, and if in uniform, it wasn’t uncommon to be yelled at and even spit upon.
So, this organization got together just to thank ALL service people from that era. I read about it, contacted them, and received my pin.
